Event Terms & Conditions
By registering for events hosted or supported by MERC Asia-Pacific Ltd ABN: 72 695 071 268 (organiser) you agree that these Terms & Conditions govern your and your guests’ registration and participation at the event. All references to “you” in these Terms & Conditions means the registrant listed on the registration form.
Fees
You agree to pay the fee for the event ticket where applicable. Ticket fees are quoted in Australian Dollars, include Goods and Services Tax (GST), and must be paid prior to attending the event.
If you are no longer able to attend the event, you must contact the organiser in writing as soon as practicable. The organiser reserves the right to retain the full amount of paid ticket fees as a cancellation fee and not provide a refund.
Privacy
You consent to the organise collecting and storing your personal information from the registration form, for the purposes of administering and managing the event.
The organiser may use your personal information to contact you for purposes relating to the event, or to subscribe you to our mailing list. You can manage this subscription using the link in the footer of emails sent for these purposes.
Your privacy is valued by MERC Asia-Pacific Ltd, and your information will be protected in accordance with applicable privacy laws in NSW, Australia.
Media
You acknowledge and agree that the organiser may take photos or audio-visual recordings of you throughout your participation in the event, and that these may be used for future marketing and promotional purposes without compensation or reference to you. You release and discharge the organiser, its staff and its agents from any and all loss, damage, expense or claims that you may suffer or incur by reason of anything contained in the photographs or recordings involving you. Should you not agree to the above image release, you must advise the organiser in writing prior to the event.
Event Cancellation
The organiser may need to cancel the event, or postpone it to another date and time. Should this occur you will be given as much notice as practicable. If you have paid your ticket fees these will be refunded. In the event of cancellation, you agree to discharge the organiser of any liability from any claim arising out of or in connection with the cancellation of the event.
Behaviour & Damage
The organiser reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to the event, or require removal of any person from the event, if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate by the organiser’s staff or agents. You agree to pay in full for any damage or loss sustained as a result of your actions during the event, as well as the cost of any additional cleaning required.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, the organiser is not liable for any loss, damage, expense, injury or other claim in relation to your attendance at the event, except where any such loss, damage, expense, injury or other claim is caused by the organiser’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. The organiser’s maximum aggregate liability to you arising out of or in relation to the event shall in no circumstances exceed the amount of the ticket fee.
